Have you got Charisma?

No, I'm not talking about that foxxy minx who was on Buffy, but the stuff which makes women coo and the men want to be your man-pal.

Some guys are just simply born with it, others well... need a helping hand to develop this skill. Thankfully for those guys out there who do need a hand in the department, there is help available.

Wayne Elise aka Juggler is the man responsible for CharismaArts.com and the popular UK Channel 4 program Seduction School. Wayne and his fellow droogs base their teachings on generally being a fun, together and confident around the opposite sex.

It's well worth investing 15 minutes having a read through his blog and the material on their website.

Prada LG KE850 Phone - Niiiiiice

DMargé is not a technology site, but I am happy to list pieces of technology which are a must in your male fashion and style arsenal. In this case, the new LG mobile phone.

Prada and LG have teamed up to bring a damn fine looking touch screen mobile phone. The KE850 is black, slim and small. And is due for release in March 07. Don't know how keen I am on having a brand name splashed across my phone, but it the phone is half as functional as it looks then I'm sold.

Got to get myself an LG KE850
- Good luck figuring out how to use the website.

Shoes: Beginners Guide

Think of this as a Dear John letter for purchasing the right shoes, for the right occasion. This to the topics of both women and the general category of mens style.

I can't tell you the amount of times I have seen a guy who looks good from the top down, then when I check out his shoes all respect goes out the window. No I'm not gay, just always on the lookout for what works and what doesn't. Women are even worse, they''ll almost instinctively check out a guys shoes when they first meet him.

How do I know? I ask the girls I meet. The answer is 95% of the time a yes... so take note!

Firstly, I recommend staying away from cheap leather dress shoes. That $120 pair which you may think look flash are really going to look like a homeless person's kicks after a month. Secondly, look after them. Polish them and take care of the leather.

Smart Casual
Boots & Loafers are the standard in this department. Pay careful attention to the toe's. If you have narrow feet like myself, I suggest a finer toe. If you have a wider set foot, choose something rounder or square. Don't go too square, shoes are for walking in, not digging holes. Keep detail to a minimum, you don't want people in passing cars to notice them.

Work / Dress Shoes
Spend a little more on dress shoes which wear well and won't look shit after a week. Anything Italian is a good start, although some brands like Kenneth Cole make great middle of the road shoes too. Avoid anything large and bulky, they will only ruin any chance you have of looking sharp in your suit. Subtle classic styling is the key when choosing both smart casual and dress shoes.

Runners / Sneakers

Never wear runners when you're going out, unless it's to a rave. If you're going to wear them, keep them clean and get new ones when they begin to show signs of Iwearthesetoomuchitis. Dsquared make some cool ones, as do Adidas Originals and the Nike throwback models are fresh.

So there you have it, a beginners guide to choosing a pair of shoes which will not only look good but improve your chances with the ladies.

Apple iPhone - Enough to make you moan?

Unless you have been living on another planet (quite possibly Uranus), then you have no doubt seen Apple's latest release to the world. The iPhone.

Set to revolutionise the way we communicate, the iPhone will make calls, send emails, browse the web, play music and take your girlfriend out to dinner when you're too busy. I can only imagine what the following generations of this device will do. Bring it on.

On the whole it's big. I cant see myself taking it out to a club or carrying it in my suit, only to have it ruin the way my clothing looks.

Will I buy one? Yeah why the hell not.

Check it out.

Milan Fashion Week - Fall 07/08

This week marks the bi-annual fashion week in Milan showcasing the upcoming mens ready-to-wear lines for Fall/Autumn 07/08.

Over the weekend the boys from Dolce & Gabbana showed off their '2001 - A Space Odyssey' themed line.

Sharp-lined suits echoed the space theme, also using metallic colours, while razor-thin ties in black, gold and gun metal over white shirts poked out under both the jumpsuits and the slicker suits. There was metallic knitwear -- in both chunky, country-style shapes and slim-fitting.

Expect 51 shows till January 18. Photos of all the parades will be available on Men.Style.com in the coming days.

The Sartorialist

While surfing the web about 12 months ago I stumbled across 'The Sartorialist'. A blog dedicated to street fashion.

The Sartorialist is run by fashion indutry veteran Scott Schuman, who's trained eyes pick some great individuals who simply 'know how to dress'.

This website is a great source for mens style and fashion. Photos are taken primarily in New York, Milan and other fashion hot spots. Seriously, you will be surprised at some of the things which people pull off. It seems the older generations have more style than we give them credit for. And more money too...
