Jeans vs. Women
Jeans are a lot like women.
Some are slim, some flare at the bottom, some are tight. Then occasionally you get some that put up with your shit and for some reason they’re a perfect fit. You wear them (literally) all the time when they’re new, over time they become a part of you and when they become uncool, you’re sad to see them go.
The more I think about it, the more I can compare girls to denim.
The girlfriends who were stunning, yet amazingly fragile. I compare them to my Tsubi’s which I loved but always had to be careful as they were prone to ripping and falling apart. They were skinny, cool, loving and always got comments. Definitely some great memories.
Nice girls who would make a great ‘life partner’ always fit into the Levi’s category. You know they’re well made and good for the long haul but they just don’t do it for you. It’s a shame…
Then there’s been girls who, well…. let’s just say are like your fake Bangkok Diesels. You get them home and think ‘What the fuck was I thinking?!’
What you really want, what every guy wants is a pair of Nudie’s. Sure, they’re not as high maintenance the Tsubi’s, but they’re well made, fashionable and last the distance.
