Think double breasted suits were only for old men and bankers? Well think again. My good mate Lapo Elkann has been donning his grandfathers double breasted numbers for years now and this look is finally hitting the likes of Hollywood A-List.
Whilst double breasted suits don't suit everyone and every occasion they bring a refreshing change to the skinny tie and suit combo which is about near it's peak.
Possibly in 2009 we'll see the return of these dapper double's in mainstream culture.
Keep your eye out for them.

It was a rainy Saturday afternoon and whilst reading GQ I happened to spot this awesome belt from Polo Ralph Lauren. They had it on show with items from their recently launched Black Active range which is also pretty awesome.

Donna Karan Unleaded For Men
Stop the press. This fragrance which I only just found has been kicking around for quite some time but I had never seen or heard of it. Donna Karan Unleaded for Men is for a guy wants to smell as of he just got off his vintage Harley Davidson with model on back.
With notes of cardamom, sage and basil with lower notes of leather and tobacco this is not your everyday splash and dash, rather a fragrance for guys who want to be remembered for more than their perfectly formed abs.
Be warned it can be hard to find and only comes in 100ml so it's kinda expensive, but well worth it.

TAG Heuer Carerra Automatic Chronograph
The good people at Tag Heuer and I have been working together which naturally led me to choose one of their fantastic timepieces as a new addition to my collection.
I was looking for something sporty yet classic which could be worn on the weekend or whilst DJing and give my other watches a break from their day-to-day bashings.
Couldn't go past the Tag Heuer Carerra Automatic Chronograph Tachymetre with the rubber strap. It's refined yet macho styling is perfect for 'him who not need so much bling' (best said in Chinese accent).

Style Spotlight: Johnny Depp
Every now and then you realize you've forgotten to do something really important, like pick your wife up from the plastic surgeon or tell that doe-eyed sexretary that you're married. Well I forgot about fucking Johnny Depp. In his heyday, Johnny's (first name basis) only problem was deciding which A-List actress or model to roll off on a Tuesday morning.
Now I am sure he's not angry with me just a little disapointed I was yet to give him a little D'Marge spotlight.
His effortless style fuses together the simplicity of plain T-shirts (American Apparel) with the distressed and disheveled likes of ripped jeans, leather wrist bracelets and other cool accessories such as tattoos and hot chicks.
All of which can surprisingly be thrown together for a cheap price. Hit your local surf-shop (bracelts) or AA store (plain tshirts) , get some old Levis and a pair of nice round toe brown boots and you're practically there.
If you can get buy some good looking that might help too.

Trying to find top notch clothing stores which have affordable yet well designd AND current fashion is sometimes harder than a bodybuilders viagra party. Not that im into bodybuilders, ah.... look over there! *runs*
A friend of mine has just put me onto Asos.com after I was mouthing off about finding a new leather jacket. Now whilst finding a jacket has taken longer than expected I was pleased to see that Asos actually stocks a heathy range.
Asos has a massive selection of mens clothing (and womens) stocking brands like Nudie, Calvin Klein, and my personal fav Filippa K.
It's east to use and is very well designed. Well worth a look.

Phillipe Stark Designed - SLS Los Angeles
I posted something about LA recently but I just had to put a small write up about a new Phillipe Stark designed SLS hotel in Beverly Hills.
Renown for his eye for design and lavish style, Phillipe teamed up with another nightclub superhero, Sam Nazarian.
Faux minx bedspreads, 2 lobbies (one for gusts only the other for disco heads like me), 297 guest rooms and more cool than you can poke a stick at. Personally I don't think you can ever have enough cool and I'm currently researching how to sell it.

Wallpaper City Guides
In between reading cooking books and asking random girls their opinions on cashmere sweaters at Borders, I happened past a great series of books for the style conscious traveller.
The Wallpaper City Guides have been out for atleast a couple of years now, however they are still adding city's to the collection every month.
These concise pocket books are filled with the hottest landmarks, hotels, restaurants, shopping, architecture and various other cultural tidbits which offer many ways to part with your hard earned dollars.
