Henry Jones Art Hotel

A good hotel is worth its weight in corn chips. I’ve just returned from 4 days in Tasmania. A couple of years ago the thought of visiting Tasmania was likened to catching the clap. However I’m really impressed. Tasmania is really good.

The jewel of our stay was the Henry Jones Art Hotel. Situated in the picturesque Hobart docks, its heritage, design and art provided not only a relaxing stay but an enlightening one. The hotel itself is the former home of IXL Jams and dates back to 1890, the architecture is a mixture of original structures and modern fittings. And the art, well it’s everywhere throughout the hotel. There’s over 390 pieces and they’re all by Tasmanian artists and they’re all for sale.

Definitely worth a visit.
