Men’s Fragrance #1 – Christian Dior / Dior Homme Intense
The name says it all: Dior Homme Intense is an intense and sensual woody fragrance for men.  A masculine take on floral scents, this cologne opens with a Tuscan iris top note.  Subtle, musky accents of hibiscus seed compliment the iris, while an accord of precious wood (Virginia cedar and vetiver) gives the cologne a strong yet refined aroma. Men’s Fragrance #2 – Comme Des Garçons 2
The second signature fragrance from Comme Des Garçons is a modern take on men’s cologne.  Scents of incense, patchouli, and amber are blended with citrusy aldehydes and spicy hints of cinnamon and nutmeg.  The real standout, though, is ink.  Inspired by the art of calligraphy, 2’s notes of ink are a quirky tribute to the legendary Sumi ink made in the temples of Japan. Dior Homme Sport is a woody, aromatic cologne that mixes ginger, bergamot, grapefruit, rosemary, lavender, cedar, and sandalwood.  Created by Francois Demachy in 2008 as a tribute to the sport of racing, Dior Homme Sport combines earthy, herbal scents with energising fresh citrus and spiced ginger influences.  It’s the perfect aftershave for a life in the fast lane. Launched under the slogan “Nature Always Wins,” DSQUARED2’s He Wood Ocean Wet Wood distills the beauty of nature into a designer bottle.  The fragrance is a synthesis of three influences: ocean notes of marine accords and ambergris, moist notes of musk and violet, and woody notes of vetiver and cedar.  It’s an olfactory journey through the woods, across the creek, and onto the beach. The first men’s fragrance from Viktor & Rolf calls itself the “magical elixir that turns all that’s negative into positive and evokes joy, wonder, love and success.”  It’s a big claim, but Antidote delivers.  The fragrance opens with a burst of mint leaves and Italian bergamot, then introduces spicy hints of black pepper and cinnamon, and finally yields to the warmth and sophistication of sandalwood, ebony and patchouli. The first thing you notice about Givenchy’s Play Intense is the packaging, which is designed to look like an mp3 player.  The second is its hip and modern take on men’s fragrance, a warm mix of Amyris wood, mandarin orange, pink pepper, coffee wood accord, and tonka bean.  Strong, dynamic, and offbeat, this cologne is perfect for the man who wants to experiment with a more edgy scent. Givenchy scores another hit with adventurous men with Pi Neo, a scent that celebrates freedom and individuality.  Inspired by The Matrix, Pi Neo is a futuristic take on men’s fragrance that features notes of toscanol, myrtle, patchouli, mandarin, bergamot, myrrh, and cedar.  Like the fictional world it was modeled after, this cologne is precise, scientific, and innovative. Men’s Fragrance #16 – Chanel / Bleu de Chanel
