Joel Edgerton: Style Spotlight
Thanks to a role in last year’s Tom Hardy flick Warrior and his upcoming starring turn as Tom Buchanan in Baz Luhrmann’s 2012 remake of The Great Gatsby, Joel Edgerton is poised to become a household name. The road to stardom wasn’t an easy one for Joel Edgerton, but it seems as though his time in the spotlight has finally arrived.
Joel Edgerton is at his best in classic menswear. He wears a tuxedo like he’s James Bond (just check out his cover of GQ Australia!), and adds interesting details like a sizable statement watch for a touch of modern, fashion-forward style. He can also pull off caps that look like they belong in a Dicken’s novel without looking like he just walked off a movie set, and simple navy suits without looking dated or aged.
He’s even received praise from another Australian style icon, Hawaii Five-O star Alex O’Loughlin, who called him “a very stylish guy” and expressed his excitement for the 1920s style Edgerton will be sporting in the Gatsby reboot.
With a major movie in the works and his recent crowning as GQ Australia’s Man Of The Year for 2011, it looks like all of Joel Edgerton’s hard work is finally paying off.
