1970 De Tomaso Mangusta

1970 De Tomaso Mangusta
The word “mangusta” is Italian for “mongoose,” an animal that’s famous for its ability to kill cobras. Rumor has it that the De Tomaso Mangusta was named after the creature because De Tomaso had plans to replace the Anglo-American Shelby Cobra with an Italian-made racing car. The plans fell through, but still turned out a pretty awesome car. (WWW)
