Best Menswear Shops in Brisbane

We’ve featured Melbourne’s best menswear stores and Sydney’s top men’s shops, but now it’s time to give the rest of the country a bloody good going over. Well, Brisbane for now, anyway. We sent our minion (Ryan) to track down ten of the best shops to get yourself into some new threads. You’ll find a selection that spans sneakers, suits, street and socks, so sit back and enjoy our best menswear shops in Brisbane.

The Cloakroom

This is one of the few menswear stores I’ve yet to personally visit, but we’ve heard many good things about Brisbane’s Cloakroom, which offers handmade and tailored clothing. Opened in 2007, they are now one of Brisbane’s best-known menswear destinations and most definitely one of the jewels in the Brisbane sartorial crown.

Fallow

If cool, directional menswear and accessories are your thing, then Fallow is the place to visit.  Fallow offer a lovingly selected range of Australian and international designers like Lost & Found and Song For The Mute. Located in Fortitude Valley, they’re our second stop on Brisbane’s menswear map.

The Apartment

Last Import - 4

If Converse, Jack Purcell and other streetwear finery are your thing, then visit Nick and Ben from The Apartment. The Apartment stock a great range of brands like Neighbourhood and BWGH which include sweatshirts, baseball caps and more. Visit them online or in Brisbane city.

Universal Store

Universal Store has been around for over 10 years and continues to offer a great selection of menswear for most types of guys.

Mitchell Ogilvie

Now for the men who like to shop at the pointy end of town, we have Mitchell Ogilvie. Stocking the likes of Tom Ford, Brioni, Paul Smith, Etro, Pal Zileri and Vilebrequin, they suit the man with a bigger budget who knows a thing or two about men’s fashion. MO even offer made-to-measure services for the perfect suit. Personally speaking, Mitchell Ogilvie is a dream come true for Brisbane menswear.

Culture Kings

Nudie Jeans

Scotch & Soda

This Dutch fashion house is a master of smart casual in any city around Australia. What we like most about Scotch & Soda in Brisbane is their unique layout. If you’re in need of blazers or casual shirts or shorts, be sure to drop in. You’ll find them located in Carindale.

Hugo Boss

Hugo-Boss2

Hugo Boss is quickly becoming my go-to shop for men’s blazers and outerwear. They fit well, look good and last. In addition, you can’t beat Hugo Boss when it comes to men’s evening wear and suiting. You would be hard-pressed to find a better tuxedo in any shop in Brisbane. Located in Brisbane city, they’re our final pick when it comes to looking sharp.

Wil Valor

Wil Valor’s new Flagship Showroom is at 300 George St, Brisbane Quarter. Drop your car off at the valet, and wander on in to discuss your next bespoke suit, jacket, shirt or chinos.
