It’s nice to see Nike throwing a few cool designs into the team kits for World Cup 2014. For Portugal, we’re seeing stripes. The jersey features a dark red V-neck collar and cuffs with green trim. On either side of the Portuguese Football Federation’s crest are the years 1914 and 2014 to commemorate their centenary. Inside the back of the neck is a red-and-green pennant tab featuring an Armillary Sphere to herald Portugal’s seafaring history. Finally, the name and numbers on the back have been specially created, and are inspired by the old typefaces used on traditional Portuguese signage. Bring it.
