We spotted a leaked shot of the Dutch World Cup kit a few months ago, but more Nike have today officially released my boys home jersey for World Cup 2014. The home kit celebrates the 125th anniversary of the founding of the KNBV (Royal Dutch Football Association) with a new lion crest. Nike collaborated withDutch graphic designer and typographer Wim Crouwel to create new names and numbers. The new Dutch jersey is in traditional orange with a modern V-neck collar, and provides a classic and clean canvas on which to showcase the new crest. Beneath the crest is the Royal Dutch Football Association’s founding year of 1889, along with 2014 to commemorate the 125th anniversary. Holland has been runner up three times, perhaps 2014 will be the year of the Orenje? One can only hope. Hup Holland Hup!
