Luxury residential collaborations don’t come often, but when they do they create one hell of a statement. Located in the leafy suburb of South Yarra in Melbourne, 126 Walsh street is an apartment complex that houses four individual designer homes – each one spanning an entire level, turning what is traditionally a limited space into something much grander. Leading the design of this stunning residence is Neometro with MAA Architects and Carr Design Group.
The homes feature three three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartments and one two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment on the top floor, with an average size of 300 square metres. Expansive hallways and generous outdoor living spaces are also a standout feature of this unique complex.
Neometro design director Jeff Provan said that the project’s goal was to give downsizers the choice of uncompromised living. The building utilises timber and bold black highlights with French oak flooring, stone finishes, smart heating and cooling. It also manages to cram in secure basement parking for three cars. This is definitely our kind of downsize.
