Mercedes-Benz are celebrating in style after their Formula One domination in 2014. Not only did their driver Lewis Hamilton take out the world title, his teammate Nico Rosberg pushed hard all year to pick up second place. There was a bit of tension between the pair during the season but that all seems to have dissipated with the release of two commemorative vehicles designed by the pair, who can both be seen having a ball at the cars’ launch event in Stuttgart.
Based on the SL63 V8 twin-turbo roadsters, the World Championship Editions get some sweet cosmetic upgrades: the black version featuring gold accents with Silverstone circuit graphics, and a white version with silver accents based on the Hockenheim track – you can probably figure out who designed which by just logging onto Hamilton’s Instagram account. If you’re keen on a piece of racing history then you better call your local dealer as only 19 examples of each version will be produced.
