Land Rover have announced the limited release of the Celebration Series of their iconic Defender off-roaders, a move that coincides with the model’s final production run at the Solihull assembly plant in the UK. Coming in three distinct models that hark back to the British car maker’s motoring heritage and design, the vehicles will aim to highlight the unique features that have helped reinforce the brand since their inception in 1948.
A green version featuring a white roof will be named ‘Heritage’ whilst the ‘Adventure’ edition gets a reinforced underbody and stocky off-road tyres. The third version will be the jewel of the trio named the ‘Autobiography’ edition. It features the blueprints of the closed roof and short wheel base of the Defender 90 station wagon.
