The latest selection of gadgets, fine art pieces and expensive boys toys can be found right here. We’re traversing the spectrum this week, going from a money-is-no object Mercedes AMG speedboat through to the humble weather storm glass for the home. There’s also a rubber band machine gun thrown in for good measure.
#1 Mercedes Benz AMG x Cigarette Racing GT S Concept
Looking for an accessory to go with your brand new Mercedes AMG GT S racer? How about an AMG speedboat? The 50 Marauder GT S concept created in partnership with Cigarette Racing is a colour-matched 50-foot water jet thanks to its 3,100 horsepower motor. Top speed? 215km/h. Price? More than you can afford pal.
#2 Rubber Band Machine Gun
Office co-workers pissing you off? You need one of these bad boys sitting on your desk. Not only is it a stunning piece of craftsmanship to look at, it also makes others respect you when you walk into a meeting room. Made completely from wood with an electric motor to drive the main mechanism, the gatling gun replica can hold up to sixteen barrels and fire up to 672 rubber bands in a matter of seconds. You’d think reloading wouldn’t be as fun but they’ve included a special loader to help cut down that time to mere minutes. The gun also comes in various grain colours and camo. You won’t have time to bleed.
#3 Breaking Bad Lego Lab Playset
Age recommendations go right out the window with this Lego set that’s not for the kiddies. If you’re a fan of Lego as much as you are of the hit TV show Breaking Bad, then this accurately depicted diorama meth lab set from the show is probably the most badass memorabilia you can get. Gus Fring’s industrial laundry superlab is included along with everything you’d expect from the multimillion dollar illegal cooking operation. The set created by Citizen Brick based on existing Lego comes with over 500 pieces, including the three custom minifigs Walter White, Gus Fring, and Mike Ehrmantraut.
#4 Cassette Tape USB Mixtape Kit
Remember the glory days of creating your own mixtape on cassette tapes to share with your friends? Well now you can do it all again via USB. The mixtape kit comes with a genuine cassette enclosure for the USB drive to slot into. Song titles can also be added to the old school paperback playlist with a pen. That’s right – handwriting. It’s a simple gadget that carries with it spades of sentimental value. And just to ensure authenticity, the USB only comes in 1GB meaning you can only select a handful of your very best songs to share.
#5 Daft Punk Print By Danny Ivan
Fine art meets dance music royalty in this cool hanging piece from Digital Artist, Danny Ivan. The print features one of the two robots from the DJ duo and is printed on Fine Art Paper 300g Innova. Much like the band themselves, the piece is prepared in Limoges, France and limited to just 50 copies. It also comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
#6 Tempo Drop Weather Forecasting Storm Glass
Telling the weather has become as boring as flicking through your smartphone these days. So much so that every now and then it’s important to take a step back and marvel at nature’s way of doing things long before that Apple fellow took over. Developed in the mid-1700s, the storm glass uses a unique liquid compound that forms intricate crystalline structures as the air temperature around it changes. It’s not the most accurate way to tell temperature but it certainly is the most stunning.
