We love a good loft here at D’Marge but what we have yet to witness is something specifically for the more eccentric man; a true creative who lives to blend textures, colours and patterns on a daily basis without prejudice. That time has arrived and the house in question is called ‘Faltiron Meets Bali’, oddly located in New York of course. Designed by Matiz Architecture and Design, the space is a clash of Balinese craft with the classic industrial influence of New York.
The floor design is probably the most intriguing with hand-painted tiles merging with petrified wood to create a unique texture across the home followed closely by the vintage jerry can wall. A mix of masculine colours including exposed steel and rustic wood also helps add character to the funky interior. The winner? Definitely the bathroom which oozes broody attitude.
