Goodwood is a historic circuit steeped in tradition where many generations of automobiles have raced and proven their speed. Located in West Sussex in the United Kingdom, the Goodwood Festival of Speed has played host to a bevy of races and motoring exhibitions since its doors opened in 1948.
2014 saw the revival of one of Goodwood’s most famous traditions – the 73rd Members’ Meeting which was once again held at the Goodwood Motor Circuit. The historic motoring event brought out the best from the classic era or racing alongside some of today’s most advanced race cars.
Think F1 cars from the 1970s, BTCC touring cars, Le Mans cars, American muscle and some mighty McLarens of young and old, all mixing it up on the track. You’ve basically got yourself the mother of all car meets.
Photographer Peter Aylward was on hand and did a fine job of capturing the beauty and vintage essence of the weekend with his camera.
