Your weekly dose of insane gadgetry doesn’t get wilder than this. We’re not exaggerating too with a levitating lightbulb, an electric-powered golf skateboard and the mother of all workstations that will make you feel like you walked off The Matrix set.
Golfing just got a whole lot more exciting with the latest mode of transport known as the Golfboard. It’s a cross between a golf cart and a skateboard, allowing the rider to get to the next hole at speed whilst reaping the health benefits of standing – don’t complain, you are playing a sport after all. The electric-powered board is also compatible with most golf bags so you can shred the green in style.

A levitating light which uses wireless power transmission developed by Nikola Tesla along with a shatterproof bulb enclosing the latest LED technology. Quite a mouthful but it truly is an exciting piece of gadgetry and stunning home design piece. The base also doubles as a charging station so you can use it even when the light isn’t on. We could watch this thing rotate for days. Orders are now being taken on Kickstarter.

If you think Ferraris are out of your budget, then you probably don’t want to know about this vintage model. This 250 GT SWB California Spider is one of only 56 examples ever made and 1 of 16 which had opened headlights.
This sample has gone through a full restoration by Ferrari’s own Classiche department, has spent its days on display at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello and was driven by Luca di Montezemolo in a parade a few years ago. Why is it here? Because it’s about to go on sale at RM Sotheby’s at Villa d’Este next month. As a ballpark, the last time a California Spider sold, it fetched US$18.5 million – for an unrestored model.
