Our trans-Tasman cousins can certainly do something right and this Elizabeth street residence located in New Zealand is living proof. It’s an eclectic collaboration of concrete, steel and glass in a nod to the old days. Done right of course, with a serious dose of masculine chic. Dorrington Atcheson Architects ensured that no space went to waste on the single floor space which was converted into an expansive double level living area. What you get is an ideal family home fit for the modern purveyor of fine art.
The exposed concrete spiral staircase also gives the home a medieval touch to compliment the overall design.
