Milan fashion week, tours of fast cars and summer cocktail parties brought out the best dressed celebrity men of the week.
Fashion week attracted the most luxurious gents to the Italian style capital, with a slew of American and European actors, singers and socialites front-rowing Fendi, Diesel and Versace.
Post-show, the parties kicked on where celebrities mingled with fashion editors, designers and former models, who relished in the fact they didn’t have to clothes horse the runway anymore, just to get in.
Key looks this week included light-hued tailoring; summery linen blazers, unstructured in taupe and a bone suit. Dark navy tailoring, ranging from a more royally-suited number from David Beckham and his function with the Queen, through to Mariano Di Vaio’s very-Milano blue suit, worn with a tee, white sneakers and no socks.
But casual, cropped jackets in luxury fabrics – think a scarlet red leather biker, contrast-sleeve varsity bomber, and car coat in black jacquard weave – dominated the week. Until the marvellous Nick Wooster pulled out his patchwork blazer and cool cropped trousers over white brogues – and it was all over.
