Long and lean is lingering over luxury this season.
Officially termed ‘longline’, the trend sees t-shirts, button-ups and knit wear lengths drop to below the waist; retaining a slim-ish shape so not to lose all shape.
The urban-derived longline is a must-know for any streetwear fiend, and starts with the shirt. A tee – in soft cotton and faded black, layers long under a utility bomber coat with contrast leather sleeves.
Longline doesn’t escape sports running chase, with black denim reimagined with jogger ankle cuffs and an elasticated waistband, highlighting extra comfort.
Essentially, longline is bold in silhouette and proportions, but neutral in tone – worked best in black and white and grey. Just add some metallic jewellery so a sense of spark. Then, a felted felt (in black, obvs) and a fabric-banded watch are all you need for textural emphasis. Don’t be afraid to accessorise.
