If there was any doubt that Rolls Royce is targeting the sportier end of the luxury segment, then the Wraith St.James Edition should alleviate that – quick fast. The latest bespoke Wraith follows suit from their fashion-inspired model and takes its new war paint in fiery red to reflect the bump in performance. It also takes the crown as the most powerful Rolls Royce to ever roll of the Goodwood production line.
The big 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12 now develops 632hp – up from the standard 624hp, alongside some subtle styling tweaks like a sportier aluminium front grille, aluminium window surrounds and chrome door handles. Torque remains unchanged at 800Nm. Given the standard model could do the 0-100km/h sprint in just 4.4 seconds (remember, it’s a big car), the new one should see closer to the 4.0 second flat mark. Time to crack open those Dollarmite accounts.
