He’s been rated as the world’s third highest paid athlete in 2015 by Forbes, slotting nicely behind Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. It’s only fitting then that when Cristiano Ronaldo buys a house, he’s expected to go big.
Well the Real Madrid superstar didn’t disappoint this week when the New York Post reported that he had just purchased an US$18.5 million apartment in New York City’s Trump Tower.
This news comes off the back of speculation that Ronaldo will be moving to play for MLS once his contract with Real Madrid expires in 2018.
Until then, Ronaldo will get to enjoy the spoils of living in one of the city’s most prestigious area codes, complete with three bedrooms, Central Park views, two marble bathtubs and a professional kitchen for his cooks. The interior style for now is somewhat vintage and gaudy, but we’re sure Ronaldo will have no issues bringing the new pad up to scratch once he’s settled in.
