It’s time to fire up those engines again lads (or if you own an electric car, just flick on your switch). This week’s hottest car news comes compliments of a 2,000hp American hypercar, the iconic sale of Don Draper’s Cadillac, pop star Chris Brown’s latest ride and one special McLaren headed for Pebble Beach.

#1 America’s First Hypercar: The Trion Nemesis

Hailing from sunny California is a new hypercar called the Nemesis. Supercar Instagrammer Alejandro Salomon, compiled a video of the prototype car on display at a private event. The company intends to release multiple versions of the Nemesis with one ultra limited model receiving a $2.2 million price tag that comes with a share in the company.

If you want to save a few dollars, you’re welcome to go for their mid-range version, the Nemesis N1-RR, which goes for $1.6 million. Didn’t get paid this week? No matter, the even tamer Nemesis N1-GT is cheaper and comes with 1,400hp. Engines will all be sorted with a twin-turbo V8 with AWD and a 0-100km/h sprint time of 2.8s.

# 2 Kahn Design Defender Officially Goes On Sale

#3 McLaren Sends Bespoke 570S To Pebble Beach

The McLaren 570S is undoubtedly the darling of the British marquee at the moment. It’s no suprise then that McLaren Special Operations will be sending a bespoke version of the coupe over to Concours D’elegance Pebble Beach to show off its credentials. The special edition 570S is finished in Mauveine Blue and features a bespoke interior with carbon black leather upholstery, carbon fibre trimmings, and a matching Mauveine highlights on the steering wheel, dash, and seats. Engine and driveline remains stock, but that shouldn’t be a problem given it has 570hp on tap.

One lucky fan of Mad Men has made his ultimate dream come true by buying Don Draper’s car. The 1965 Cadillac Coupe DeVille that actor Jon Hamm drove in the hit TV series just got snapped up at an auction for $48,980. Given the internals weren’t touched by the studios, the car’s original 340hp V8 should still be intact.

#5 Chris Brown Picks Up First Ever Rezvani Beast

Being a pop star certainly has its perks. Chris Brown made this fact known today when he picked up another American supercar known as the Rezvani Beast. The $200,000 vehicle is based off an Ariel Atom and has a 500hp 2.4-litre supercharged motor whilst weighing just 750kg. It can also do the 0-100km/h sprint in 2.7s.
