Mercedes-AMG have unleashed their latest road weapon in the stunning 2017 C63 Coupe.
The wild German will see its formal unveiling at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September. Style-wise, many will notice the same silhouette as its older S-Class brother but the C-Class is no doubt a standalone vehicle which represents a much tighter package with the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 pumping out 469hp (503hp for the S model).
The car will also sprint from 0-100km/h in 3.9s and 3.8s for the S variant. The aggressive lines of the new AMG C63 come from a liberal slathering of flared fenders and carbon accents such as the boot lid spoiler. Gaping vents are also a must for a car of this calibre.
In terms of dynamic handling, the boffins at Mercedes-AMG haven’t revealed much other than, “the body structure has been reinforced in key areas to transfer and compensate for the extreme longitudinal and lateral forces the powertrain and suspension are capable of.”
We’ll take your word for it, Klaus.
