Gadgets are the way to a man’s heart. That and burgers. We haven’t got the latter so we’ll have to settle with just the gadgets today. We promise it’s still good though, with a personal jetpack, a futuristic mountain bike, a carbon fibre kayak and a new way to walk all rolled up in today’s edition of the world’s best gadgets.

#1 Martin Aircraft Personal Jetpack

Dodge the mundane traffic and commute in style with rockets strapped to your backside. The Martin Aircraft Company jet pack has been in the works for a few years now but just recently received the green light to be sold from 2016. It’s intended for emergency evacuation purposes but we have a feeling the rich kids of Instagram will be rocking one of these in no time. The jet pack is powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine which drives two fans to achieve sustained lift for approximately 30 minutes at 74km/h. Note: Being a fly guy doesn’t come cheap.

Mountain warriors need an equally capable set of wheels to get them out of the hairiest of situations. #3 O Six Hundred Kayak
You’re a gent stuck in the wild, so play the part well and take on the rapids with the classy O Six Hundred kayak. The Australian company has taken 30 pieces of hoop pine plywood which is both light and strong, and laced it with translucent carbon fibre fabric to make it near indestructible.

Move over Segueway, a new challenger from Japan has arrived called the Walkcar. It’s slated as being small, light and extremely easy to use. It’s a sturdy little unit too with a claimed loading of 120kg on its diminutive aluminium frame. Top speed? 10km/h over a range of 11km. You’ll never walk alone.

Smoking meats is the new way to BBQ in 2015. With the the influx of massive smoking stations flowing in for every man and his dog to use, someone needed to come up with something different.
