This is bound to get the heart rate up for more than a few horology enthusiasts. Vacheron Constantin‘s new Historiques ‘Cornes de vache 1955’ chronograph is based on the reference 6087 from the 1950s – one of the rarest and most collectible chronographs in the manufacturer’s collection.
The new timepiece is fitted with iconic ‘cow-horn’ lugs, hence the Francophone reference to bovines in the name. ‘Cornes de vache 1955’ is powered by hand-wound Calibre 1142, housed in a 38.5 mm platinum case with a transparent sapphire crystal to expose its technical heart. The silver-toned opaline dial is achingly classic, but airier for optimal readability.
In keeping with tradition, ‘Cornes de vache 1955’ will be issued in a highly exclusive production run.
