Think modelling is a one-sided industry that only pays dividends when one is in their prime? Think again. Forbes have released a list of the world’s highest paid models in 2015 and sitting pretty at the top is 35-year-old Brazilian Gisele Bunchden who raked in $44 million between the period of June 2014 and June 2015. To put that into perspective, Bunchden earned five times more than her NFL-playing husband Tom Brady during the same period.

The rest of the genetically-blessed list includes relative newcomer to the game Cara Delevingne who comes in at number two alongside Adriana Lima with $9 million in earnings. The huge paychecks prove that the modelling industry is changing rapidly and prominent figurers in the industry are using their social media followings to leverage and justify their endorsement fees.

Kendall Jenner of Kardashian fame also drops in the mix at number sixteen, earning $4 million for her efforts.
