Nike Creates Striking Green Kit For Manchester City

This season, Manchester City will play some of its major away matches in an eye-catching green kit designed by Nike.

The uniform is inspired by the 1999 Wembley win that secured the team’s promotion from the third tier of English football. Today’s team will wear a neon green shade also sported by the players during that momentous victory.

To balance out the striking shade, Nike has added a black ombré graphic that blends out from the cuffs of the shorts and shirt. The jersey proudly bears a modern take on the club crest in the distinctive two-tone colour scheme that permeates the kit. Black socks with a grey chevron detail on the calves complete the 2015-16 third kit.

Look for it to make its on-pitch debut against Sunderland A.F.C. on September 22. The kit will be available from nike.com, mcfc.co.uk/shop and select retailers starting October 1.
