The advanced display technology is crammed into Sony’s latest Xperia Z5 Premium’s 5.5-inch screen to provide a massive 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution and 806 pixels per inch.
Many believe that running a device at such a high resolution would give a battery life span of about two Nickelback songs, but they’d be wrong. Sony has claimed that their Z5 has a battery life of two days which dispels the myth that higher resolution equals shorter battery life.
The secret to saving the juice is the Z5’s ability to automatically display photos and videos in 4K resolution whilst all other content is presented in the standard 1080p full HD format. Destined for video junkies who enjoy their entertainment at the highest quality on the go, the Z5 also backs up the feature with its controversial waterproof credentials and 4K recording with image stabilisation.
The processing power will be taken care of by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor whilst a 23-megapixel rear camera takes care of imaging.
