Drawing inspiration from the past is no new concept when it comes to watchmaking. One special piece from Tudor however will be seeing a lot of attention when it goes under the hammer in November at Only Watch 2015.
The Black Bay One Ref. 7923/001 is a faithful nod to one of the brand’s greatest timepieces, the 1954 Tudor Submariner Ref. 7923. The new diving piece is adorned with a black gilt dial a gold transferred minute track, gold-plated hour markers, Tudor’s Geneva logo and the same ‘Shock-Resisting’ words that were found on the original Ref. 7923.
A fine aesthetic upgrade to the timepiece is the notable red triangle insert positioned at the 12th hour.
