Banksy’s anti-amusement park exploded into the world with a media frenzy that only the elusive artist could inspire. Artists, art critics, art fans and regular folks couldn’t stop talking about his twisted take on Disneyland.
Those who don’t have the good fortune to see Banksy’s not-so magical kingdom in person can join Sasha Bogojev, a writer from online art site Arrested Motion, on a video tour of the most disappointing place on earth.
Unlike its namesake, Dismaland is not fueled by fantasy. Instead Banksy forces vistors to confront the harsh realities of life with his trademark dark humour. “The whole setting slams the weight of the world into your face,” says Bogojev.
Sounds like fun for the whole family.
