Triumph traces the Bonneville’s legacy back to some of its most iconic motorcycles. Once upon a time, the Bonneville was the superbike – perhaps even the fastest production motorcycle of its day. Now a new chapter begins in the Bonnie’s story, as the wraps come off the 2016 Triumph Bonneville range.
The freshly revealed machines include a 900cc Street Twin, a 1200cc T120 and T120 Black Bonneville, an improved 1200cc Thruxton and an up-spec Thruxton R. Their well-loved retro looks remains intact, but beneath their figurative hoods the bikes have gotten major overhauls.
The new engines are a hot topic for motorcycle fans. They are much more torque rich, and slightly repositioned to help centralise mass and further balance the bikes. The engines also gained full liquid-cooling systems and redesigned radiators. In addition to the more powerful motors, each new Triumph model boasts a new exhaust system, a host of electronic aides and styling enhancements.
Let the moto-lust begin.
