Fifty shades of grey is more than just a titillating erotic novel for bored housewives. It’s also an accurate description of this London home, designed by Boscolo Interior Design.
The designers focused on creating a place equipped for the regular entertainment of guests. The two-bedroom bachelor style apartment was given a muted yet rich makeover composed primarily of greys and blacks. Antique bronzes occasionally lift the greyscale colour palette.
Modernist flourishes inspired by Japanese design are found throughout the apartment, tied together with an automated lighting scheme. For the culinary client, the focal point of the home is the kitchen. It was designed for hosting intimate dinner parties and live display cooking, after which the guests can retire to the inviting open space of the living room.
