On Halloween, the lucky(?) individual and a plus one will journey underground and learn about the hair-raising history of the world’s largest grave. After settling in to the sprawling network of skulls and bones, they’ll be treated to “a dazzling culinary experience” while enjoying “a private concert in the most incredible acoustics under the earth.”
Before bedtime, a storyteller will spin spellbinding tales from the catacombs guaranteed to give the guests nightmares. Finally, they’ll enjoy dawn with the dead and the unique privilege of being the only living people ever to wake up in the Paris catacombs (until the zombie apocalypse, that is).
This is no 5-star hotel you’ll rave about on Yelp. You’ll get a real bed and dining table, but amenities are few and far between. Airbnb will provide a first aid kit, a safety card and a fire extinguisher. Weaponry to fight off the undead is not included.
If sleeping in a subterranean labyrinth with 6 million departed souls sounds like your cup of tea, you’ll need to enter the contest immediately. Tell the host before midnight (Central European Time) on October 20 why you’re brave enough to survive the haunted holiday and you could soon be off on a spine-chilling getaway.
