You fell in love with Steve McQueen when you watched him jump a motorcycle over a barbed wire fence to evade Nazis in The Great Escape. While you won’t own the Triumph T6 from that scene any time soon, you could own another of McQueen’s beautiful bikes.
McQueen’s garage included this 1934 Indian Sport Scout motorcycle, a slimmer version of Indian’s classic Scout model. The lightweight Sport Scout runs on a 750 cc engine and features an open frame and the Euro-style fork for which the model is famous. The look is finished off with a handsome ivory and black paint job.
The motorcycle will be up for auction October 18 at Staffordshire County Showground through Bonhams. The buyer lucky enough to add this beauty to his collection will also receive a UK V5C registration document and a State of Idaho Certificate of Title signed by Steve McQueen himself.
