James Bond fever is running high with the release of Spectre and the upcoming auction of the only Aston Martin DB10, but if you’re not keen on cars, this elegant bit of Bond memorabilia may be more your speed.
Soufriere, the 16.4 metre sailing yacht that starred alongside Daniel Craig in Casino Royale, has just gone on the market. The boat was built in the UK at Spirit Yachts’ Ipswich yard, blending traditional craftsmanship with a state of the art approach to structural design. Soufriere is an exquisite combination of beauty, luxury, comfort and performance.
To be worthy of the world’s most famous super-spy, a yacht must be something special. Soufriere delivers. Clean lines, mahogany topsides and teak decks dominate the exterior. Down below, Soufriere boasts two double cabins with ensuites and a spacious living area, complete with a mahogany dining table and well equipped galley.
During filming, Soufriere became the first sailing craft to go up Venice’s Grand Canal in 300 years. Following her stint on the silver screen, the yacht was sold to an Irish buyer and has since been used for cruising and racing. Prospective buyers who have “in excess of £600,000” to spend on building their Bond lifestyle can now own this piece of British film history.
