Land Rover Goes Topless For New Range Rover Evoque

Full screen

Luxury sports SUVs are pretty cool. Convertible luxury sports SUVs? That’s the stuff of old school dreams. Only this isn’t a dream. This is Land Rover‘s latest take on their popular off-roading Evoque, sans roof.

Besides the drop-top feature the 2016 model is essentially identical to the current model, packing a 240hp 4-cylinder and 9-speed gearbox. The convertible roof can open in 18 seconds whilst the car is moving at speeds of 50km/h with an additional system which protects passengers from a rollover.

A bit of boot space is sacrificed for the folding roof but that’s a small price to pay for great scenery and fresh mountain air. Watch the sweet feature video for the topless Evoque below.
