Sydney’s famous sunshine came out to play last week when the arrival of the latest Rolls Royce Dawn was officially unveiled in Australia – on a super yacht.
In typical British luxury and flair, the new open top was showcased against the stunning backdrop of Sydney Harbour as it marked one of the brand’s most ambitious vehicles yet.
The Rolls Royce Dawn is powered by a very capable 6.6-litre twin-turbocharged V12 putting down 563hp which gets the car to 100km/h in a respectable 4.9 seconds. Lest we forget, the Dawn also weighs 2.5 tonnes.
Seating is a 2+2 layout and features beautiful premium leather all round within the extravagant interior. The roof itself can retract in 22-seconds and buyers can choose to fit the car with 21 or 22-inch alloy wheels.
The important stuff however lies in the tech-luxury appointments. A new trick device includes a satellite aided transmission which uses GPS tracking to identify the changes in road terrain you’re driving on before it chooses the right gear for you to tackle the job.
Some would consider this as removing the fun of driving, but it’s likely what punters are expecting from a car asking AU$749,000 when it lands in local showrooms from May 2016.
It even has its own artsy movie trailer which you can watch below.
