There’s A Life-Sized X-Wing At Singapore’s Changi Airport

Full screen

The galaxy far, far away just got a little closer. Star Wars fans passing through Changi Airport in Singapore can now see two replica starfighters up close: a Tie Fighter and a life-sized X-Wing.

The display’s launch coincided with the arrival of an All Nippon Airways Boeing 787 sporting an R2-D2 paint job, as well as battle between Stormtroopers and X-Wing fighter pilots. And the fun doesn’t end there. Visitors can climb into the cockpit of the X-Wing for an out-of-this-world photo op.

A limited number of tickets to board the X-Wing Fighter are given out on a first come, first served basis each day. The X-wing pilots and Imperial Stormtroopers make an appearance every Saturday at 4pm. You have until January 5 next year to see the Star Wars spectacle for yourself.

No wonder Changi is consistently ranked one of the best airports in the world.
