Forget the subway. Forget the yellow cabs. There’s a new coolest way to get around New York City: personal jetpack.
JetPack Aviation has recently released a video of what they call “the only true jetpack” taking its first flight around the Statue of Liberty in New York. According to the website, the Bond-worthy gadget is “a jet turbine powered backpack that is capable of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL).”
It’s both powerful enough to lift a pilot quickly to thousands of feet above the ground, and small enough to fit into the trunk of a car. It’s also insanely cool to watch. See the JB-9 JetPack in action in the video above.
