For the third year in a row, Air New Zealand has been named Airline of the Year by AirlineRatings.com.
According to AirlineRatings.com, the world’s leading safety and product rating review website, Air New Zealand has picked up the award for 2016 for its in-flight innovations, record-breaking financial performance, operational safety, environmental leadership and motivation of its staff, stamping the airline as an industry trendsetter.

Qantas jumped up to 2nd place from 4th last year, winning the categories Best Lounges, Best Catering and Best Domestic Service, while Etihad was named Best First Class for its new First and Business Class offerings, Singapore Airlines won Best Business Class and Best In-Flight Entertainment and Virgin Australia won Best New World Carrier, recognising the transformation that many airlines are trying to meet rapidly changing market demands.
Clearly the Kiwis are paving the way.
