Bentley Retraces An Evolution With The R-Type Continental

Bentley have some of the most prestigious cars on the road today but many may not know the story behind the British marque’s most celebrated car – the Continental.

The Continental was designed to do exactly what its name suggested, traversing across continents with sensational power and grace in an all-encompassing luxury cabin.

To get this exacting message out there, Bentley have taken the covers off their original 1952 Continental R-Type, a proper GT which was one of the fastest and most beautiful vehicles of its time.

The new Continental GT may be a bit quicker than the 1952 version, moving the top speed from 193km/h to 330km/h, but it’s in no was diluted from what the R-Type first set out to be.
