Illustrator Draws ‘Star Wars’ Characters In Streetwear’s Hottest Labels

Full screen

British designer and illustrator David Murray has merged two of our favorite S’s: streetwear and Star Wars. In a series of drawings, Murray depicts famous characters from the sci-fi saga sporting some of streetwear’s biggest labels.

Each character is kitted out in an outfit from the collections of Fall 2015. Chewbacca gets even furrier with a look from New York brand Hood by Air. C-3PO rocks an embroidered jacket from Dries Van Noten. There’s also Jar Jar Binks in Yeezy, Boba Fett in Astrid Andersen, Darth Vader in Craig Green and a Stormtrooper in Balenciaga. Perhaps the most unexpected is Darth Maul, who goes all out in a surprisingly festive red number from Givenchy.

The Star Wars drawings aren’t Murray’s first time mixing pop culture and fashion. Check out his Instagram for more iconic characters turned fashion models.
