What will the Ferrari of the future look like? The Italian automaker launched the Ferrari Top Design School Challenge to answer that question. This year’s contest saw promising artisans from around the world imagine a 2040 Ferrari. The results range from classically beautiful supercars to vehicles that could have come straight from Star Wars.
More than 50 schools submitted three student designs, each conceived over a year. Four schools were chosen as finalists: the Hochschule Pforzheim (Germany), the College for Creative Studies in Detroit (USA), Hongik University in Seoul (Korea) and ISD-Rubika in Valenciennes (France). Above are their futuristic submissions.
The winning school will be awarded the Gran Premio prize by a jury. A second prize, the Premio Speciale, will be awarded by open online vote cast on the official Ferrari Facebook page. The overall winner will be revealed on January 16.
