The Bugatti Chiron hypercar is on its way, but if you need something to drop your millions on in the meantime, here it is: a Bugatti superyacht.
The automaker is teaming up with legendary yacht builder Palmer Johnson for a special line of carbon-fibre sports yachts. Dubbed the Bugatti Palmer Johnson Niniette, the luxury craft is described as “the result of a maverick vision to perfect that delicate alchemy between desire and demand.” In plain English, that means the Niniette will combine DNA from both its well-pedigreed parents.
The carbon-fibre hull takes design cues from iconic Bugatti cars. Note the two-tone colour scheme, the a falling shoulder line in the vein of the Type 57C Atalante, and the perfectly balanced proportions of the Type 41 Royale. The deck is a combination of bubinga, maple or morta oak wood trim.
The name ‘Niniette’ has strong ties to the Bugatti brand. Ettore Bugatti used it as a pet name for his daughter Lidia, and also gave the moniker to the family’s own boats in her honour.
Three versions of the lavish Bugatti x Palmer Johnson collab will be offered. Prices start at around $2 million USD for the smallest version. The mid-level will set you back $3.5 million USD. The big one, so far, remains POA. Each yacht will be built over the course of 12 months after order, as per the client’s requirements.
