Welcome to the final SUATMM for 2015. We’ve had a fine year of cool gadgets and awesome stuff that men need and we’ll be bringing you even wilder toys in the new year. For now? An amphibious bike, Star Wars, Porsche and a ‘real’ hoverboard.
#1 Biski Amphibious Motorcycle
Get your recreational mobility sorted this holiday season with the Biski – a capable motorcycle on the road which can transform into a speedy jet ski on the water. It’s powered by a two-cylinder petrol engine with 55hp which can get you to 130km/h on land and 60km/h on water. Transformation time? 10 seconds.
#2 Star Wars By The Hidden Lab
Love your Greek art cast in stone? Get with the times granddad. The Hidden Lab have recreated the most iconic Star Wars characters in solid marble. They’ll make for a serious hero piece in any man cave and also tell your guests exactly how much you’ve grown up.
Price: $770 – $1,280/BUY
#3 1958 Porsche 356 A Speedster
A classic drop top cannot get any more iconic than the Porsche 356 A Speedster. This particular sample heading to RM Auctions has been upgraded with a 104hp four-cylinder engine from a 912 to produce 25% more power than the original’s. Definitely one for the serious collector.
#4 Lego Millennium Falcon
Over one year and over 7,500 bricks. That’s how much effort it took for Star Wars fan Hannes Tscharner to build this accurate replica of the Millenium Falcon. The end result is a spaceship which spans 32 inches by 21 inches by 7 inches and weighs 10kgs. You most certainly cannot buy it. But you can try make an offer. A big one at that.
#5 Fusion 230 Whirlpool Bathtub
This is no bubble bath for your kids. The Ghost System whirlpool Fusion 230 is equipped with disinfection and a sophisticated system for water recirculation. The real highlight? It’s also an invisible hydromassage system which boasts clean lines and a design free of external outlets and jets. Guaranteed to keep you and your occupants in complete opulence and comfort.
No wheels included. As what a purported hoverboard should be. The Arcaboard works by creating lift from 36 high-powered electric fans which can hold up to 108kg. The system is stabilised using an app synched to your smartphone so you won’t be stacking it like those plebs on their wheeled-hoverboards. Stability and free-flight comes at a price though.
