The first and most powerful mutant in the Marvel universe is about to make his debut on the big screen. In the first trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse, the entire human race is under threat of destruction and it’s up to Charles Xavier’s squad of mutants to save the day.
Oscar Isaac plays villain En Sabah Nur – better known as Apocalypse – an ancient Egyptian mutant who is none too pleased about the way mutants are treated in the modern world. He recruits Four Horseman, including Magneto, to help him wipe out humanity and establish a new world order.
Meanwhile, Xavier – who finally shaves his head – gathers the likes of Cyclops, Storm, Jean Grey and Nightcrawler to fight the oncoming genocide. X-Men: Apocalypse is meant to be director Bryan Singer’s farewell to the franchise, so expect it to be an over-the-top spectacle when it hits cinemas in 2016.
