Forbes has reported that the new phone is both a positive step and an unexpected move in the right direction for the Cupertino company. The new features, as leaked by the reliable Chinese site MyDrivers, will come with Apple’s best battery life yet which is partially aided by a smaller 4-inch screen. This is no real advancement on its own but as a package it elevates the 6S Mini above its current crop of competitors.
MyDrivers has revealed that the new specs will include an Apple A9 chipset, 2GB of RAM, a 1,642mAh battery and a 4-inch 1136 x 640 pixel display. This is similar in spec to the 6S but with a screen resolution of the 5S in order to give the the Mini a winning edge in performance and power drain.
There’s no word yet on whether the device will carry the elusive wireless charging but it’s inevitable given the current of Android roll outs.
