The first day of America’s premiere motoring exhibition known as the Detroit Auto Show has officially kicked off with some drop-dead gorgeous machinery on display.
Given the greenie movement that is clearly dominant at this year’s show, it’s nice to see that some manufacturers are not deserting the performance/fun car segment altogether.
Leading this band of oldschool car lovers is Lexus, who’ve listened to their customers and green lit the production of the LF-LC sports coupe, now officially called the LC 500.
Following closely behind is an American badge more known for making pick-up trucks. The Buick Avista Concept was another Detroit debut car that set hearts on fire when it was revealed. Such was its muscular build and stunning design that the local press called it the next Holden Monaro. Alas, it is just a concept. For now.
Who said the future wasn’t fun?
