Take the beloved Jaguar F-Type. Now make it rarer, more powerful and even more fun to drive. That’s the Jaguar Project 7. Only 250 units were made and Harry Metcalfe, adviser of Jaguar Land Rover, managed to get his hands on one.
Metcalfe shows off the beautiful beast in a new episode of ‘Harry’s Garage‘ on YouTube. He describes the car as “a unique collector edition Jaguar that’s capable of lapping the ‘Ring in 7mins 35secs, making it the fastest Jaguar ever.” Do we have your attention yet?
The 575hp Project 7 is surprisingly light (thanks to a bunch of carbon fibre parts), does 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds, and has a top speed of 186mph. The supercharged 5.0-litre V8 is good for ‘a minimum of 500 lb ft’ of torque. An overhauled suspension, and reworked body and aero package, make it even more of a monster on the track. The finishing touches are styling cues taken from the legendary C- and D-type competition cars.
All 250 have already been spoken for, so sadly you’ll have to settle for appreciating the Project 7 from afar. We’ll let Harry take it from here.
